MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073951 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated toy storage and collection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated toy storage and collection device, comprising a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 and in plurality of compartments 3 a specific type of toy are stored, a microphone 4 receive voice command of a user regrading requirement of a specific type of toy, a motorized lid 5 installed with each of compartment1to open particular compartment 3 an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 determines presence of a toddler in surroundings and accordingly actuates wheels 2 to position housing 1 in proximity to toddler, a telescopic rod 7 extends and retracts in a coordinated manner to tilt housing 1 in view of releasing toy which is received on a pair of collapsible plates 8, plurality of motorized hinge joints 9 deploying sheet over detected empty ground surface to receive released user-specified toy from compartments 3."
