MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024132 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated tire repairing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tire repairing device, comprising a body 1 accessed by a user for accommodating a tire which is to be repaired, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed in the body 1 to determine defects including cuts on the tire, a blade 3 suspended from ceiling of the body 1 for cutting the evaluated area from the tire, a grinding wheel 4 arranged inside the body 1 for smoothening edges of the tire, a chamber 5 stored with rubber sheets arranged inside the body 1 a robotic arm 6 installed inside the body 1 for gripping the rubber sheet and positioning on a platform 7 arranged at base of the body 1 and a motorized brush 8 arranged inside the body 1 integrated with multiple electronically controlled valve for dispensing adhesive stored in a container 9 arranged within the body 1 on the area."
