MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018000 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'automated tile designing device for custom patterns.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tile designing device for custom patterns comprising a platform 101 having a first and second portion 102, 103 positioned on fixed surface, multiple suction cups 104 provided underneath platform 101 for ensuring stability of platform 101, a conveyer belt 105 integrated in first portion 102 to place tile/slab, a display panel 106 installed on platform 101 for enabling user to specify design details to be engraved/carved on tile, an imaging unit 107 installed on platform 101 to determine position of tile/slab, a motorized gripper mounted on platform 101 for grabbing and aligning tile/slab at treatment position, motorized clamps 108 arranged on corners of second portion 103 via a motorized slider to accurately hold edges of tile/slab, a laser emission unit installed on second portion 103 to emit laser pulses over evaluated portions to precisely cut tile/slab."
