MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019725 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'automated tie knotting device.'
Inventor(s) include Rajesh Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated tie knotting device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 installed with a multi-sectioned chamber 4 for storing different ties, an inlet 5 crafted on chamber 4 for enabling a user to withdraw/place ties inside chamber 4, a display panel 6 for enabling user to input type of tie user desires, a first robotic gripper 7 for withdrawing user-specified tie from chamber 4, a motorized slider 8 for providing movement to gripper 7 to withdrawn and place tie on a platform 9, a weight sensor for detecting positioning of tie, motorized clamps 10 for securing tie, an imaging unit 11 for determining positioning of tie's front and tail potion, a telescopic bar 12 for extending to accommodate front portion via a C-shaped member 13, a second robotic gripper 14 for gripping tail portion, a motorized slider 15 that works in collaboration with second gripper 14 for tying knot on tie."
