MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006612 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'automated thermostat valve testing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Hardeep Singh; Dr. Narinder Kumar; Prateek Ranjan; and Saumil Aggarwal.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated thermostat valve testing device, comprising a platform 1 attached with a holder 3 in which user places a thermostat valve, multiple pneumatic piston 4 extend to secure valve on holder 3, a touch interactive display panel 5 accessed by user to input details regarding specifications and based on which testing parameters of valve are determined, a hot air blower 6 assembled on holder 3 blows hot air on valve for displacing valve, if detected displacement mismatches threshold displacement length then alert notification regarding damaged condition is shown on display panel 5 and user engages valve into a conduit 7 attached with a temperature regulating chamber 8, an electric pump delivers coolant into chamber 8 via conduit 7, a heating unit heats coolant while flowing through conduit 7, a flow sensor detects of solution and if not detected, then another notification is displayed on panel 5."
