MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020678 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated textile de-watering device.'

Inventor(s) include Kuldeep Chauhan; Avinav Pathak; Vipin Kumar Tyagi; and Sumika Jain.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated textile de-watering device comprising a platform 1 support to platform 1 on a ground surface by means of a suction cup 3, an ultrasonic sensor detecting height of user present for actuating first and second inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 4 to extend and retract for positioning a primary and secondary ring 5,6 to position each end of a wet textile inside rings, a proximity sensor detecting placement of ends inside rings for actuating a motorized iris lid 7 to grip the ends, a moisture sensor and a weight sensor for detecting amount of moisture in textile along with weight of textile for actuating first and second motorized rotatory arrangement 8, 9 for rotating rings for twisting of textile, and an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 10 determines any damaged portion on textile for actuating a speaker 11 for generating voice commands for notifying user regarding detected damaged portion."
