MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025441 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated taping device for tractors.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated taping device for tractors, comprises of a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the body 1, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring edges of the tractor, a multi-sectioned chamber 3 for storing radium tape reel, robotic arms 4 for engaging the gripped reel on the first roller 5, a pair of motorized clippers 6 to acquire a grip on free end of the tap, a motorized gripper to apply the tape on the evaluates edges of tractor, a telescopically operated L-shaped bar 7 to extend/retract for positioning a motorized second roller 8 over the applied roller, motorized second roller 8 for evenly pressing the applied tape on the edges in order to apply the tape on the tractor."
