According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A smart blood bag system (100) for monitoring and managing the integrity of blood products during storage and transportation. A processing unit (103) processes the sensor data, while a wireless communication module (104) transmits the processed data to a server system (106). The system further includes a power source (105), an alert mechanism (107) to notify deviations from safety thresholds, and a location tracking module (108) for real-time geolocation. A user interface (109) provides users with data visualization, alerts, and location details. A corresponding method (200) is also disclosed for monitoring, analysing, and preserving the integrity of blood products by enabling continuous sensing, wireless data transmission, threshold analysis, alert generation, and corrective action."
