MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020657 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated swimming pool maintenance device.'
Inventor(s) include Naveen; Raj Kishore Singh; Abhishek Dabas; and Neha Yajurvedi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated swimming pool maintenance device comprising a frame 1 having first 2 and second 3 portion, a pair of supporting units 4 arranged with first 2 portion for positioning frame 1 on swimming pool's coping, an imaging unit 5 installed on second 3 portion to determine person's presence, a motorized roller 6 arranged on second 3 portion for unwrapping sheet 7, multiple wheels 8 arranged below supporting units 4 to move frame 1, an ultrasonic sensor mapped on sheet 7 for monitoring debris, and a curved member 9 arranged at the periphery of the sheet 7, meshed fabric that gets deployed from the sheet 7 in a manner to collect the debris."
