MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024685 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated swimming pool covering device.'
Inventor(s) include Blessy George Gabriel; and Anushka Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated swimming pool covering device, comprising a rectangular frame 1 positioned over a swimming pool, an imaging unit 2 to detect dimensions of swimming pool, a drawer arrangement 3 for increasing/ decreasing dimensions of frame 1 for accommodating frame 1 with outer perimeter of pool, plurality of suction cups 4 to grip surface of the pool and affix the frame 1 with the pool, a motorized roller 5 arranged on said frame 1 for rotating on its axis to unwind a double-layered sheet 6, multiple motorized hinge joints for providing movement to multiple inverted U-shaped links 7 attached with each of the hinge joints in order to deploy the sheet 6 attached between the links 7 over the pool, a temperature sensor to monitor temperature inside the formed enclosure and plurality of Peltier units maintaining an optimum temperature level inside the enclosure."
