MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006954 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'automated surface restoration device for vehicle parts.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Manjit Singh; Gurkirat Singh; Navneet Singh; and Lovepreet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated surface restoration device for vehicle parts, comprising an L-shaped body 1 gripped by a user, and installed chamber 2 in which user fills paint, a microphone 3 is positioned on body 1 for enabling user to give voice commands for filling the chamber 2, a motorized iris lid 4 configured with chamber 2 to open for allowing user to fill paint, a level sensor monitors level of paint, a speaker 5 mounted on body 1 notifies user to stop filling chamber 2, a motorized stirrer 6 installed within chamber 2 for maintaining consistent viscosity of paint, a camera 7 detects faded portion on vehicle's part, a laser projection unit 8 mounted on body 1 to guide user for positioning body 1 in front of faded portion of vehicle's part, an electronic sprayer 9 for spraying paint on faded portion for restoring surface of vehicle's part."
