MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007803 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'automated surface repairing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. D Ramya Dorai.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated surface repairing device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on ground surface, four motorized wheel 3 for providing movement to platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed on platform 1 determines presence of object along with presence of cracks on object's surface and accordingly platform 1 is positioned near platform 1, an electronic nozzle 5 connected with a water reservoir 6 for dispensing water on cracked surface, a first robotic link 7 configured with a cloth 8 for clearing dispensed water, a second robotic link 10 configured with a plate 11 for withdrawing paste from a chamber 9 and applying paste on surface, a third robotic link 12 configured with a motorized sanding unit 13 for sanding surface in order to maintain uniformity of surface, a color sensor for detecting color of surface, an electronic valve 14 connected with a container 15 for dispensing paint."
