MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026179 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated stirrup rod wrapping device for pile cage.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated stirrup rod wrapping device for pile cage comprises of a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface plurality of suction cups 2 that affix the platform 1, a motorized cylindrical shaft 3 installed with the platform 1 in vertical orientation and wrapped with a stirrup rod to rotate on axis to unwrap the rod to initiate wrapping of the rod over the pile cage, a motorized pulley installed with the housing 4 to engaged with free end the stirrup rod for protrudes out of the housing 4, a touch interactive display panel 5 installed over the platform 1 to provide input regrading requirement of wrapping a pile cage with the stirrup rod which includes vertical and horizontal orientation, and an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 to determine dimension of the pile cage."
