MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105657 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'automated stirrup ring formation device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. S. V. H Nagendra.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated stirrup ring formation device, comprises of a housing 101 configured with multiple suction cups 102 for adhering to a fixed surface, a display panel 103 commands for manufacturing ring, a robotic arm 104 grabs rebar from a chamber 105 to feed rebar inside housing 101 through an opening, an imaging unit 106 determines dimensions of reinforcement bar, a pair of first and second motorized rollers 201, 202 via an extendable rod 203 to extend/retract for adjusting gapping between first and second rollers as per rebar's dimensions, a circular member 204 equipped with a cylindrical unit 205 and a motorized bearing 206 via an extendable link 207 for adjusting gap between bearing 206 and to rotate for bending lengths of rebar, a shredding blade 208 via a Scotch yoke arrangement 209 to cut rebar, a robotic arm 108 grips rings to store in a container 107."
