MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024834 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'automated sticker applying device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sticker applying device, comprising a platform 101 positioned over a ground surface via multiple wheels 102 to translate platform 101 over surface, a user place an umbrella on platform 101 over which a sticker is to be pasted, an imaging unit 103 installed over platform 101 determine dimensions of canopy and handle of umbrella, a robotic arm 104 installed over platform 101 position canopy of umbrella within a pair of plates 105 attached to a vertical shaft 106 configured with platform 101, a touch interactive display panel 107 receives user input regarding the design to be pasted over umbrella, a pair of robotic grippers 108 withdraw sticker from a multi-sectioned chamber 109 and apply over canopy, an L-shaped hydraulic bar 110 installed between each plates 105 and shaft 106 translate plates 105 towards each other for applying pressure over canopy and sticker for pasting sicker over canopy."
