MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019387 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated spring manufacturing device.'
Inventor(s) include Ajay Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated spring manufacturing device comprises of a housing 1 developed to be positioned on ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 that is accessed by user for providing input regarding user-desired length and kind of spring to be manufactured, multiple sections 3 arranged at base of housing 1 each installed with conveyor belt 4 to translate in forward direction, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 for capturing multiple images of platform, circular member 7 arranged for accommodating rod within member 7, heating unit 8 to heat rod, hydraulically operated L-shaped bar 9 for applying force against the bent in order to straighten rod, plurality of telescopically operated elongated members 10 for positioning one end of rod on bar, motorized ball and socket joint to provide rotatory movement to member 10 in a manner that rod is coiled around member 10."
