MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019285 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated spare wheel carrying device.'
Inventor(s) include Aishwary Awasthi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated spare wheel carrying device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on rear bumper of a vehicle by means of four suction cups 2, an ultrasonic sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting height of vehicle, a T-shaped hydraulic bar 3 arranged on the platform 1 which extends to position three wheels hub 4 at an optimum height over which a user engage spare wheels which is detected by a weight sensor mapped one each hubs 4, a motorized sliding unit 5 positions multiple block 7 at an optimum position to counter misbalancing of vehicle, a laser sensor installed on bar 3 for detecting width of vehicle and in case positioning of wheels mismatches with width of vehicle then a pair of curve shaped telescopic plates 6 which are arranged on each bar 3 extend to maintain aerodynamics of the vehicle."
