MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020031 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated soil excavation device.'
Inventor(s) include Alpana Joshi; Shivani Sharma; Sahdev Singh; and Vikas.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated soil excavation device, comprises of a frame 1 utilize to position on a ground surface, multiple wheels 2 are arranged beneath the frame 1 for moving the frame 1 from one location to another location, a touch enabled screen 3 mapped on the frame 1 for entering length and depth of a portion of the surface that is to be excavated, a hydraulic bar 4 configured with a motorized screw blade 5 attached with the frame 1 for excavating soil from the portion, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 mapped on the frame 1 for capturing and processing images of surroundings, and a hollow duct 7 encased around the blade 5 for collecting and translating the excavated soil towards a storage chamber 8 installed within the frame 1."
