MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023099 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'automated snow removing device for ropeway.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated snow removing device for ropeway, comprising of a U-shaped frame 1 positioned over a cable of a ropeway, a pair of motorized wheels 2 through which cable passes to initiate snow removal, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 for capturing and processing images of the cable, an L-shaped telescopic rods 4 for extend in order to position a C-shaped member 5, plurality of primary motorized hinge joints 6 to enable the member 5 to accommodate the cable, multiple omnidirectional motorized wheels 7 are installed over inner periphery of the member 5 for scrubbing the cable in order to remove ice from the cable pair of wedges 8 each by means of a secondary motorized hinge joint 9 for removing snow from the cable, a pair of locking units 10 to lock the frame 1 over the cable."
