MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023438 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated snap button installation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated snap button installation device, comprising a U-shaped body 1 configured with a handle gripped by a user for moving the body 1, a display panel 2 installed over the body 1 to enable user's input commands, an imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 for determining position of a cloth, a pair of robotic arms 4 installed on the body 1, a holographic projection unit 5 installed over the body 1 projecting points over the cloth, a multi-sectioned chamber 6 arranged over the body 1 for storing snap buttons, a robotic gripper 7 installed with the body 1 to position the button within a primary motorized expanding pulley arrangement 8 installed on the body 1, and a secondary motorized expanding pulley arrangement 9 installed with the body 1 for securing a post."
