MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025473 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated sliding rail cleaning device for windows.'

Inventor(s) include Himanshu Arora.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sliding rail cleaning device for windows comprises of a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface in proximity to a sliding window, a microphone 2 is installed over the platform 1 to receive voice command of a user regrading cleaning of sliding rail of the window, an imaging unit 8 to determines dimensions of the sliding rail, a dust sensor to determine presence of dust in the sliding rail, a motorized roller 7 wrapped with a sheet installed over the platform 1 to rotate and unwrap the sheet that is gripped by a pair of robotic grippers installed over the platform 1 to grip and align the sheet around the sliding rail to prevent spillage of dust in debris, a depth sensor to monitor depth of the sliding rail and an air blower 5 to blow air towards the detected moisture in view of drying the moisture."
