MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023470 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated skating guiding device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated skating guiding device comprises of, an elongated body 1 having a proximal and distal end, proximal end is integrated with a handle 4 that is accessed by a user for acquiring a grip on the body 1 to perform skating, a touch interactive display screen 2 for providing input regarding stretch of a ground surface where skating is to be performed, an imaging unit 3 to monitor surrounding of the body 1, a laser measurement sensor for determining height of the user, a linear actuator to get extended/retracted for positioning the distal end at an appropriate distance from the user on the surface, a panel 7 integrated with a pair of motorized wheels 6 for moving the body 1 in a forward direction, and an accelerometer for monitoring speed of the user while performing skating."
