MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012902 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'automated shoe maintaining device.'
Inventor(s) include Kushwant Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated shoe maintaining device comprises of a cuboidal body 1 attached with a set of links 2 for supporting the body 1 on a fixed surface, a camera 3 for capturing multiple images of the user's shoe, a motorized door 4 to open for allowing the user to place foot along with the shoe within the body 1, a holographic projection unit 5 for projecting hologram to guide the user in placing the foot within the body 1, a plate 6 configured at base portion of the body 1 by a slider crank arrangement and equipped with multiple of primary pneumatic bristles 8 to scrub sole portion of the shoe, a pressure sensor for detecting placement of the foot, a set of electronic nozzles 9 for dispensing the solution on the shoe, and a set of air blowers 14 for blowing hot air in view of drying the shoe."
