MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019293 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated shock absorber maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Bed Prakash.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated shock absorber maintenance device, comprising a U-shaped platform 1 placed with a shock absorber as detected by a laser sensor, two telescopically operated clamp 3 grips shock absorber inside platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed on platform 1 which determines presence of bushing in mounting, a robotic link 5 inserts a cylindrical shaped member 6 in mountings to remove bushing, an LiDAR sensor mapped on platform 1 for detecting diameter of mountings, a robotic gripper 8 assembled on platform 1 for gripping one suitable bushing from a chamber 7 and insert it inside multiple clips 9, a motorized slider 11 arranged between wall and clips 9 for positioning bushings parallel to mountings, an ultrasonic sensor detects alignment of clips 9 with mountings, and a telescopic bar 12 arranged between slider 11 and clips 9 for extending to engage bushings inside mountings."
