MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024140 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated shielding wrap lamination device.'

Inventor(s) include Bhumish; Supriya; Vikashdeep Singh Mann; Anikate; and Sarabjit Singh.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated shielding wrap lamination device comprises of a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 is installed with the body 1 for generating a 3-dimensional map of surrounding of the body 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 arranged on the body 1 for displaying the captured images that are accessed by a user for selecting a portion of a glass shield over which a shield wrap is to be laminated, a pair of robotic arms 5 installed inside the body 1 to access the chamber 4 to grip the wrap, a motorized first gripper 6 installed on the body 1 to position a curved plate 7 integrated on the first gripper 6, a motorized second gripper 8 mounted on the body 1 to position a flap 9 integrated on the second gripper 8."
