MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020383 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'automated sheet seaming device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sheet seaming device, comprises of a housing 101 integrated with multiple motorized Omni-directional wheels 102 to provide translation to the housing 101 over the surface as per requirement, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 103 installed with the housing 101 to determine thickness of the sheets, a pair of robotic arms 104 installed over the housing 101 to grip and align the sheets with each other, a robotic gripper 105 is installed over the housing 101 to bend edge of one of the sheet to accommodate edge of other sheet, a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 106 installed with the hosing to extend and position a horizontal bar 107 configured with each of the rod around lateral sides of the engaged sheets, and a pair of motorized cylindrical rollers 108 installed with each of the bars 107 to apply force over the engaged sheets to seam the sheets."
