MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024835 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'automated sheet bending device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sheet bending device, comprising a platform 101 having plurality of suction cups 102 to secure platform 101, a slot 103 for accommodating a metallic sheet, a touch interactive display panel 104 to receive input specifications regarding bending of a metallic sheet, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 determines dimensions of the sheet, a pair of motorized rollers 106 gets positioned at an optimum height, a pair of motorized clippers 107 position the sheet onto the roller, a contact sensor detects contact with the sheet, a molding member 108 mounted on the platform 101 with multiple elongated V-shaped slots 109 are accessed by the clippers 107 for positioning the sheet onto the member 108, a flap 110 installed on the body by means of an extendable pole apply an optimum pressure onto the particular portions to bend the sheet for attaining the user-specified structure."
