MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024134 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated seeds cultivating device.'

Inventor(s) include Harshit Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated seeds cultivating device, comprising a circular body 1 integrated with a microphone 2 accessed by a user regarding a kind of seed to be cultivated, plurality of chamber 3 arranged within body 1 by means of a motorized circular sliding unit 4 which translates a particular chamber 3 containing at front portion of body 1, a motorized iris lid 5 dispensing of seeds from chamber 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 works in sync with a counter for determining number of seeds dispensed from chamber 3 to a tray 7, an hydraulically operated hollow bar 8 to get extended in a downward direction for getting penetrated underneath surface and depth of penetration is detected by a depth sensor, a motorized gate 9 gets opened to allow dispensed seed to pass through bar 8 and get deposited within surface."
