MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010775 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'automated seed dispensing device.'
Inventor(s) include Ravinder Singh; Akash Deep; Aakash Sharma; Akashay Kumar Shaw; Abhishek Ranjan; and Abhinav Chauhan.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated seed dispensing device, comprising a housing 1 developed to be positioned over a seed tray, a transparent chamber 2 configured over the housing 1 for storing seeds, a touch interactive display panel 3 installed over the housing 1 to enable a user input command, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed over the housing 1 to determine total number of containers present in the tray along with dimensions of the tray, a receptacle 5 arranged within the housing 1 for receiving seeds from the chamber 2, a motorized disc 6 arranged within the housing 1 configured with plurality of curved plates for tilting the plate to dispense seeds into a conical member 7 configured inside the housing 1 and a speaker 8 installed over the housing 1 for informing the user regarding refilling of the chamber 2 with seeds."
