MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026624 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 30, 2024, for 'automated scalp cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Lomas Tomar; Garima Verma; Rishabh Chitranshi; and Subrata K. Das.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated scalp cleaning device, comprising an inverted U-shaped frame 1 developed to be installed on a fixed surface, a pair of clamping units 2 installed on said frame 1 for acquiring a grip on the fixed surface, an imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 to determine positioning and dimensions of the user's head with respect to the frame 1, a water reservoir 4 arranged on the frame 1 by means of a dual axis slider 5 to get translated over said user's head portion for dispense water on the user's head portion to remove any particles or debris stuck in the user's hairs or scalp, a container 6 installed on the slider 5 to dispense a cleaning solution over the user's head portion and a brush 7 installed on the frame 1 for scrubbing on the user's hairs and scalp portion to clean the user's head portion."
