MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022899 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'automated sand sieving device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sand sieving device, comprising a frame 1 having a pair of telescopically operated rods 2 to be positioned on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 for providing input regarding quantity of sand, plurality of motorized wheels 5 arranged underneath rods 2 to move frame 1 in proximity to heap, a robotic arm 6 accesses a chamber 7 configured with frame 1 to grip a suitable sieve stored in chamber 7, a circular member 8 crafted with a slot for engaging gripped sieve in member 8, a scoop 10 arranged on frame 1 by means of a telescopically operated L-shaped bar to extend/retract for positioning scoop 10 over heap, a motorized ball and socket joint 9 between scoop 10 and bar for providing tilting movement to scoop 10, plurality of vibrating units 11 for produce vibrating sensations to allow sieving process."
