MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003999 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'automated safety glass lamination device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated safety glass lamination device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a touch interactive display panel 2 accessed by user to input command regarding computing unit detail over which a safety glass is to be laminated along with category, a tray 3 access by user for accommodating computing unit, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for determining poisoning of computing unit on tray 3, multiple clamping units 5 for gripping edges of computing unit, a plate 6 vertically attached over periphery of tray 3 via a motorized hinge joint to tilt the plate 6 over computing unit, a multi-sectioned chamber 8 installed within platform 1 accessed by a pair of robotic arms 9 for accessing a suitable safety glass, and a motorized roller 10 configured with soft material arranged on lateral ends of tray 3 for applying pressure over glass to laminate glass on computing unit."
