MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006920 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'automated sack uplifting assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Parneet Kaur; Saumya Rajvanshi; Anupam Bonkra; Divyansh Gera; and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated sack uplifting assistive device, comprises of a frame 1 having a vertical panel 2 on a ground surface, a platform for supporting the panel 2, a pair of motorized sliding units 4 for translating the plate 3 toward the platform, a pair of telescopically operated L-shaped for transferring the sack onto a user's shoulder, an AI-based imaging unit 5 installed on the frame 1 for capturing multiple images to determine height of the user, a pair of hydraulically operated actuators 10 for extending the plate 3 over the sliding unit 4, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring distance between the plate 3 and the user's shoulder, a pair of motorized hinges 7 for tilting the plate 3 in sync with the imaging unit 5 and multiple suction units 8 integrated on the plate 3 for extracting dust/debris into a waste bin assembled on the platform."
