MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013488 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated rubber washer installation device.'

Inventor(s) include Kulwant Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated rubber washer installation device includes a platform 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for support, a wheel 3 is attached with each of rods 2 for maneuvering platform 1, a holder 4 accessed by a user to place a workpiece pre-crafted with a bore to be installed with a rubber-washer detected by a weight sensor installed in holder 4 accordingly multiple pushers 5 arranged on holder 4 extends to secure workpiece, a chamber 6 stores multiple rubber-washers and crafted with an inlet 7 for enabling refilling, an imaging unit 8 determines size of bore and accordingly a gripper 9 withdraws one of washers from chamber 6 and engage on a tri-axial unit 10, a reservoir 11 crafted with nozzle 12 that dispenses a lubricant solution and inside bore, a primary link 13 inserts unit 10 inside bore, a actuator 14 arranged within unit 10 extends/retracts to engage washer."
