MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073966 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated rubber removing device from racetracks.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Deepika Kathuria; Sunny Dhiman; and Vatan Sharma.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated rubber removing device from racetracks, comprising a housing 1 positioned over a racetrack, plurality of motorized omni-directional wheels 2 to provide translation to housing 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing and processing images of racetrack, a touch interactive display panel 4 to enable user to provide input regrading an area over racetrack, a pair of motorized hinge joints to orient flap 5 at a pre-defined angle, an ultrasonic sensor housing 1 to monitor thickness of rubber, a vacuum unit 7 to withdraw scrapped rubber from flap 5, a weight sensor to monitor weight of collected rubber, a speaker 8 o produce a voice command regrading exceeded weight."
