MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013462 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated route marking system for construction of a drainage canal.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated route marking system for construction of a drainage canal, comprises of a cuboidal body 1 arranged with multiple rods 2 that provides support to body 1 on a ground surface, a motorized wheel 3 for providing movement to body 1 on surface, an imaging unit 4 for determining presence of any stationary object in vicinity to body 1, multiple motorized propellers 5 for lifting body 1 and move body 1 above ground surface, a sensing module for detecting dimension of objects present on surface along with real-time images of surroundings of body 1 based on which the microcontroller generates a 3D (Three-dimensional) mapping of the area that is further transmitted to a computing unit, a user interface accessed by user to input details and an electronic valve 6 connected with multi-sectioned chamber 7 for dispensing a paint solution on user specified route in order to successfully map canal."
