MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010052 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated roof drain channel cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashok Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated roof drain channel cleaning device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to body 1 on a ground surface, a motorized wheel 3 providing movement to body 1 on surface, an ultrasonic sensor detecting height of enclosure's roof for actuating an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 4 to extend for positioning a meshed frame 5 into a roof drain channel attached with roof, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 determines presence of logged water and accumulation of dirt inside channel for actuating a vacuum based cleaning unit 7 for cleating the logged water, a motorized hinge joint 8 configured with a curved shaped member 9 actuated by microcontroller for providing movement to member 9 inside channel for scrapping dirt accumulated inside the channel."
