MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026625 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 30, 2024, for 'automated relocation device for disabled person.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated relocation device for disabled person comprises of frame 1 positioned over a ground surface in proximity to a disabled user via multiple motorized omni-directional wheels 2, a microphone 11 to receive a voice command of the user regrading relocation of the user along with a location where the user is to be relocated, an artificial intelligence based imaging to detect dimensions of the user, a pair of telescopic rods 5 to extend and position in proximity to waist portion of the user, a L-shaped plate 6 configured with each of the rod by means of a motorized all and socket joint to position the plates 6 beneath buttocks of the user, and a flap 8 installed at apex portion of each of the plates 6 via a motorized hinge to provide rotation to the flap 8 to position the flap 8 for support."
