Inventor(s) include Samant, Tapaswini; Behera, Trupti Mayee; and Nanda, Sarita.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an automated protective system for outdoor drying comprises a support structure (102) configured to hold items in an outdoor environment, a moisture detection assembly (104) operatively positioned to sense precipitation, and a protective covering element (110) formed from weather-resistant material. A deployment mechanism (112) includes a motorized actuator responsive to signals from the moisture detection assembly (104), configured to transition the protective covering element (110) between retracted and extended positions. A control unit (106) is operatively connected to the moisture detection assembly (104) and deployment mechanism (112), configured to receive moisture detection signals and activate the deployment mechanism (112) to extend the protective covering element (110) over items when precipitation is detected. A power supply assembly (116) comprises a renewable energy source operatively connected to the control unit (106) and deployment mechanism (112). The system may include a light detection assembly (108) for measuring ambient light levels, a securing mechanism (114) with magnetic components, and a manual control interface (118) for user-initiated operation independent of automated moisture detection."
