MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025451 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated propeller repairing device.'

Inventor(s) include Jasgurpreet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated propeller repairing device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface carved with a slot 2 for positioning a propeller which is to be repaired, a touch interactive display panel 3 for providing input regarding details of accommodated propeller, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 to determine dimensions of propeller, a sensing module for monitoring dimensions and angle of blades of propellers, pair of robotic arms 5 installed on platform to position accommodated part on distorted portion of blade a motorized first gripper 6 to position a welding torch 7 to joint of part with distorted portion, a metallic electrode 8 for welding, a motorized second gripper 9 to perform grinding at welded portion, a motorized third gripper 11 with a puppy dial 12 to inspect surface of repaired blades and a telescopically operated L-shaped bar 13 with a brush 14 to scrub blades."
