MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105624 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'automated produce peeling and cutting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vikas Rana.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated produce peeling and cutting device, comprising of a platform 101 configured with a plurality of legs 102 with omnidirectional wheel 103 for providing movement to the platform 101, a touch interactive display panel 104 to provide input commands, a microcontroller for processing the commands, a circular cavity 107 carved on a rotatable plate 108 mounted on the platform 101, a motorized clamp 109 for acquiring a grip of the produce, a plurality of C-shaped plates 111 to hold the produce in place, a cylindrical post 112 with a L-shaped frame, attached with a cylindrical member 114, a motorized slider 115 integrated in between the frame 113 and post 112 for providing required translation, a peeling unit 116 on the post 112 by means of a L-shaped shaft, a cutting unit 120 via a motorized pivot joint 121to cut specified number of pieces of the peeled produce."
