MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117030 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'automated produce collecting device for trees.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated produce collecting device for trees a circular frame 101 constructed from a pair of C-shaped members 102, a motorized hinge 103 to be clamped around a tree trunk a hydraulic piston 105 to extend for enabling a set of electromagnetic clamps 104 to securely grip the tree-trunk, an input unit enabling a user to provide input for extracting planted produce from the tree-trunk, a motor 107 to dislodge produce from the tree, a cascaded slider module 108 to deploy a meshed sheet 109, a hyperspectral imaging unit 110 for monitoring ripeness of the produce, a three-finger motorized gripper 111 for redirecting produces into dedicated chamber 112 arranged around the frame 101, for storing the dislodged produces from the tree, a motorized circular slider 114 for providing analysis of entire collected produce and an accelerometer 115 and gyroscope 116 to provide real-time feedback on vibration force and stability."
