MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012913 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'automated pottery design formation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pottery design formation device comprises of cuboidal body 1 configured with rods 2 each attached with first suction cup 3 to support body 1 on surface, a touch-interactive display panel 8 to input details regarding carved design, an electronic valve 9 for dispensing clay and liquid into container 11, a motorized-stirrer 10 for manufacturing coating mixture, a pump for pumping mixture into T-shaped hollow pipe, multiple iris bristles for dispensing and applying mixture, a pair of telescopic bars 12 suspended from ceiling of body 1 to position cylindrical shaped member 13 installed with heating unit 14 to generate heat, a robotic link 17 configured with an electromagnetic patch to attach required carving tool 16, an AI-based imaging unit 18 installed inside body 1 for determining design, a pair of robotic gripper 19 arranged inside body 1 for dipping pottery inside a vessel 20 filled with polishing liquid."
