According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pothole maintenance device, comprising a platform 101 positioned on ground surface of a road, multiple motorized wheels 102 move platform 101 near a pothole cover, an imaging unit 103 determine deposition of dust/dirt on cover, a vacuum hose 104 attached with platform 101 extract dust/dirt, a first chamber 106 storing tar arranged on platform 101, a heating unit 107 integrated in chamber melt tar, a first motorized iris lid 105 configured with first chamber 106 dispense tar on cover, a brush 108 installed on platform 101 via a robotic link 109 uniformly apply tar over cover, a second chamber 110 storing asphalt mixture and configured with a second motorized iris lid 111 for dispensing asphalt mixture onto applied tar, a flap 112 arranged with platform 101 via a robotic arm 113 spread dispensed mixture over cover, and a tapping unit 114 arranged with platform 101 compress mixture."
