MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025482 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated polyurethane foam coating device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sandhya Jaiswal; Dr. Supriya Agnihotri; Monika Sharma; Aditee Sharma; and Hemant Jethi.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated polyurethane foam coating device comprises a body 1 installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 generate 3D map of the enclosure, a touch interactive display panel 3 for user input, multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 4 moves the body, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on the body 1 and synced with the imaging unit for monitoring dimensions of the user-selected portion, a telescopically operated rod 5 is configured on the body 1 for positioning a brush 6 integrated on the rod, a motorized ball and socket 7 integrated in between the brush and rod to provide angular movement to the brush, a plate 8 integrated with plurality of flaps 9 interconnected by means of multiple hinges 10 arranged on the body 1 via an extendable L-shaped link 11, and an electronically controlled nozzle 12 connected with a chamber 13 stored with polyurethane foam and configured on the body."
