MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026080 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated polycarbonate sheet application device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Anjoo Kamboj; Dr. Sandhya; Ankita Verma; and Anjum Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated polycarbonate sheet application device comprises a platform 1 configured with plurality of wheels 2 to move the platform 1 over the surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 determines position of the vehicle's windows, a telescopically operated pole 4 integrated on the platform 1 to extend/retract for positioning a plate arranged on the pole 4 in proximity to the vehicle's window, a dust sensor embedded on the platform 1 for detecting deposition of dust on the window's glass, an electronically controlled nozzle configured on the platform 1 for dispensing cleaning liquids on the window's glass, a first robotic arm 5 is integrated on the platform 1 grip of a suitable sheet from the container for positioning the gripped sheet, a robotic link 7 configured with a suction unit 8 for extracting extra air trapped in between the sheet and the glass."
