MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006206 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'automated pole installation device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Manish Kumar; Dr. Parveen Kumar; Sachin Majithia; Dr. Sanjeev Kumar; and Pallavi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pole installation device, comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a pair of track wheels 2 for moving the platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing multiple images of the surroundings of the platform 1, a touch interactive display panel 4 accessed by the user for selecting a number of points on the ground surface where poles are to be installed, a pair of robotic arms 5 for gripping and positioning the pole, a motorized clamp 7 assembled on a telescopically operated rod 6 for acquiring a grip over top portion of the pole, a hydraulically operated plunger 8 for providing thumping movement on the pole, and a hammering unit 9 assembled on the platform 1 via an extendable L-shaped link 10 for providing forceful hitting movement on the pole."
