MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025594 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated playing card distribution device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated playing card distribution device comprises of, a platform 1 arranged on a ground surface and configured with a cuboidal body 2 for accommodating a deck of playing cards, a touch enabled screen 3 is mounted with platform 1 for enabling a player to give input commands for distributing the playing cards and specifying game to be played, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 arranged on the body 2 for detecting number and exact location of players, motorized roller assembled in periphery of the body 2 via a bar, to rotate to distribute the fetched number of cards to each of the players, a telescopically operated gripper 5 arranged with the body 2 for gripping and dividing the deck intro two decks, an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) mapped on the body 2 to detect light intensity and multiple LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights arranged on the platform 1 to illuminate light for maintaining an optimum light intensity."
