MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025590 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated plastic tap components manufacturing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plastic tap components manufacturing device, comprising, a platform 1 configured with multiple supporting rods 16 developed to be positioned on ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 to input details regarding a component of a tap along with dimensions of the component, a primary robotic arm 5 for gripping and positioning the a pipe onto a holding slot 8, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 to detect dimensions of the pipe, multiple clippers 9 to secure the pipe on the slot 8, a motorized hot air blower 12 to blow hot air over one of the pipe in view of softening the pipe, a secondary robotic arm 10 to extend for positioning a hexagonal head nut 11 into one end of the pipe in view of increasing diameter of the pipe, and a robotic gripper to grip and position the pipe through space between the rollers 7."
