MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022853 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'automated plastic-basket manufacturing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plastic-basket manufacturing device, comprising a platform 1 installed on fixed surface, plurality of suction cups 2 are arranged underneath platform 1 to affixed on surface, a multi-sectioned chamber 3 is arranged on frame for storing plastic pellets, a display panel is installed on platform 1 for user to provide input regarding user-desired basket, an iris lid 5 configured with chamber 3 for dispensing pellets into container arranged underneath chamber 3, a heating coil 6 integrated in container to melt pellets, suction pump 7 connect with conduit integrated on platform 1 to extract melted plastic from container, a die 4 arranged on platform 1 for molding melted plastic in user-specified shape, a pair of robotic arms 8 integrated on platform 1 to acquire grip of solidified structure from die 4, cutting unit 9 installed on platform 1 to remove extra strands of structure."
